Let me start off this blog post by saying this, you can take great photos with any camera brand. As a photographer, many people who are looking to purchase their first camera will ask me "what company is better? Nikon, Canon, Sony? " My response is the same every time. "It doesn't matter. Buy the cameras that fit your needs best".

Years ago, I use to work for a Sony retail store at a local mall. At this time, I had no interest in photography. I was placed in the "Digital Imaging" division with no real reason to my knowledge. It was there that my passion for cameras and photography was ignited.

It was easy for me to purchase camera equipment due to my employee discount. At that time, Sony created the sensor for Nikon cameras (little-known fact). That combined with the generally lower prices on Sony Cameras is why I chose to stick with this brand.

Today Sony has become much more of a force in the DSLR market. Making huge advancements in image quality, camera speed, versatility and innovative features. All good news for me and my photography.
